Two people killed in Walker County house fire

WALKER COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) – Walker Dispatch confirms two people were killed in a house fire early this morning.

Crews responded to the call at 306 Dry Valley Road and found the home 80% involved.

A 12 year old girl and a 51 year old man were the victims in the blaze and died before firefighters arrived on the scene.

No working smoke alarms were found in the home.

The two bodies have been send to the GBI crime lab for autopsy and their names are not being released.

The cause is still being investigated.
