Officials say Soddy Daisy Middle threat not valid

SODDY DAISY, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Hamilton County sheriffs office is is investigating a threat that was made towards Soddy Daisy middle school.

Monday, a Soddy Daisy Middle School administrator was made aware of an alleged rumor that a male student had threatened a female student.

The School Resource Officer was notified and began an investigation. After following up on the alleged rumor, it was determined that there was no threat to the school or the student.

The Sheriffs office notified the Soddy Daisy Police Department and as a precautionary measure, asked them to send an additional officer to the school should any parents have any concerns.
