Vols Hoping to Avoid a Repeat Performance Against the Tide
If third ranked Tennessee handles their business Saturday against Alabama, they might move up to number one next week. Rankings shouldn’t motivate the Vols Saturday, but rather their performance against Bama last year. Tennessee suffered a beat-down in T-Town. Alabama handed Tennessee their worst loss of the year as the Tide rolled to a 78-50 victory.
Said Barnes:”Last year they really beat us good. They controlled the entire game. I think we gave up eight dunks to one player if I remember right. Hall. So you are not going to win a lot of games doing that. But that’s over and done with. We’re a different team. They’re a different team. But we are going to have to continue to worry about the things that we are not doing as well as we can do right now.”
Tipoff from Knoxville is set for 2pm. Tennessee has won 11 straight.
