THP update on fatal Monday wreck
MARION COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Tennessee Highway Patrol gave an update on a fatal wreck that happened Monday on I-24.
It was a single-vehicle crash, which killed 55-year-old Kathy Jacobs.
The report states that the Tennessee resident was driving a Dodge Durango and was not wearing her seat belt.
The THP states that Jacobs’ vehicle “went off the right side of the roadway, down an earth embankment and struck a standing tree.”
It also reports that the point of impact was the driver side door.
The report also mentions that it was raining, and the roads were wet at the time of the wreck.
The accident happened just after 9 a.m. Monday morning on I-24 eastbound.
