Signal Mountain drug disposal Take Back Day

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Signal Mountain Police Department will be hosting its annual Drug Enforcement Agency Take Back Day event this Saturday.

The event started back in 2015 to bring greater awareness to the community.

Police want folks to properly dispose of their prescription drugs with ease.

“If you have a lot of medicine, sometimes children can get inside of it. So, we are just trying to protect, not only the community, but the environment as well. And this is a safe way for us to do it.”

The take back event will be held at the Signal Mountain Police Department from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

It will happen no matter the weather.
