Local attorney will have child abuse case held in Meigs Co.
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Morgan Adams has been charged with aggravated child abuse after police say Adams admitted to spanking his 11-year-old son more than 100 times for getting bad grades in school.
According to Adams’ attorney Jerry Summers, Adams used a fly-swatter to discipline his son. The boy and his father are now back living together at their home on Lookout Mountain.
All Hamilton County judges have recused themselves from hearing the case since Morgan Adams is a local attorney.
Judge Casey Stokes from Meigs County will hear the case in Hamilton County on April 30.
