Woman found with stab wounds after Chattanooga kidnapping
UPDATE:
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office released the mugshot and charges of Michael Oshea Walker, who kidnapped a woman twice on Monday.
He faces the following charges:
- Aggravated kidnapping
- Evading arrest
- Domestic assault
- Reckless endangerment
- Vehicular assault
- Leaving scene of an accident with damage to vehicle
- Failure to render aid
- Driving on a revoked, suspended or cancelled license
- Theft of property
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police saved a woman after she was kidnapped Monday morning.
They identified the kidnapper as 29-year-old Michael Walker. Police have him in custody and he faces several pending charges.
After witnessing a man take the woman by force and drive away, those witnesses alerted police. Police say it happened Monday around 10:30 a.m. at 3410 Brainerd Road. This location is at, or near, a gas station.
The woman temporarily escaped the kidnapper near Wilcox Boulevard. Police received another call of the incident at this time.
Walker once again kidnapped the victim, police said.
Officers spotted the suspect vehicle and pursued it. Walker’s vehicle hit multiple other vehicles while fleeing from police.
According to CPD, the suspect crashed his vehicle near New York and New Jersey Avenue. Police said they then took him into custody.
Chattanooga Police found the victim in Walker’s car, suffering from stab wounds.
Responders took her to a hospital to be treated. CPD state that her injuries are not life-threatening.
