Wacker helps Habitat for Humanity build homes in Cleveland
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) – Wacker helped build someone’s future today.
Employees and interns from the chemical plant in Charleston partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help build a house in Cleveland off of Victory Street.
The home is one of several in the neighborhood that have been constructed by Habitat for Humanity, and Wacker has participated in many of those projects.
Today’s team was comprised of new rotational engineers and summer interns. The company hopes that they take a volunteer spirit with them wherever they go.
One intern, Cole Carlson, said, “It has a big impact on us. Everyone needs food, water and shelter, and this is just a really good thing.”
Another intern, Samuel Oke, said, “For me, I’ve always been a big fan of volunteering. So, any time for us we can give back to the community, I’m all in for it.”
Wacker says they have plans to volunteer on more housing projects in that neighborhood in the months ahead.
