Chattanooga man indicted on charges of sexually abusing child

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Hamilton County grand jury indicted a Chattanooga man for sexual abuse of a child.

A grand jury indicted 42-year-old Seth A. Cordell on October 2, 2023. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office then arrested him on October 5, with a $150,000 bond.

The grand jury indicted him on continuous sexual abuse of a child, three counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, and three counts of incest.

The indictment revealed that the sexual abuse took place between November 2019 and February 2021.

It also reveals that the victim was a teenage relative of Cordell.
