CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Excitement is building for the Super Bowl happening this Sunday.

You have probably heard about some of the astronomical sums being asked for tickets.

Most of us will have to settle with watching it on TV, but what if you are without a home? That does not mean you will need to be left out.

The Salvation Army of Chattanooga is hosting its annual Super Bowl Watch Party for homeless neighbors, taking place on Sunday, February 11, at The Salvation Army’s Recreate Café.

This event aims to provide a warm and welcoming environment for those in need to come together, enjoy a meal and share in the camaraderie of watching the Super Bowl

“Sunday night, we open our doors at 6 p.m. for a watch party where our homeless neighbors will come in and will have supper with us that evening. And we will watch the big game and have a good time and give them a safe place to land for the evening,” said Monica Luithle, Salvation Army spokesperson.

The Salvation Army’s Recreate Café is located at 800 McCallie Avenue. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and remain open until the end of the game.

Food will be provided for all who attend.
