Decatur citizen looking for suspect who hurt dog, stole property
DECATUR, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Decatur citizen is offering a $500 reward for help finding the person responsible for harming their dog and stealing their property.
That citizen reached out to Decatur police on February 17 and said someone illegally set up a hunting trap on their property. The citizen said they found out about the trap when their dog was caught in it.
The resident then put trail cameras at that location in an attempt to identify the person responsible for setting up the hunting trap.
However, when the resident returned to the cameras the next day, they were both missing.
This citizen, who wishes to remain anonymous, lives near the area of River Road, between Eaves Ferry Road and Deerfield Lane, according to police.
Anyone who can help identify the suspect or suspects should contact the Decatur Police Department.
