Murray County man charged with trafficking meth

MURRAY COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — A Murray County man has been arrested on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, the sheriff’s office said.

Murray County authorities arrested Joseph Lamar Henderson of Chatsworth. They said he had active felony warrants.

The arrest followed a traffic stop Monday on a vehicle with two occupants. Henderson was the passenger in the car.

The sheriff’s office said Henderson consented to a search, and deputies found four ounces of meth and other illegal substances.

Henderson faces the following charges:

  • Possession of meth,
  • Possession of meth with intent to distribute,
  • Trafficking of meth,
  • Possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance.

Authorities booked him into the Murray County Detention Center.
