Red Cross helps 15 affected in Dalton house fire
DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) — A multi-unit home in Dalton caught fire on Wednesday.
The home was located on Hill Road.
Whitfield County Fire said it was a quick knockdown.
There were six families, with 15 total people, living there.
Red Cross volunteers also responded to help coordinate emergency aid to those affected.
The Red Cross said it provided comfort kits, client assistance and recovery planning to those in need.
The organization says it responds to a disaster every eight minutes. They also help educate families about fire safety through the Red Cross’s Home Fire Campaign.
