McKay’s celebrates 50th anniversary with Ultimate Road Trip
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — McKay’s is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the Ultimate McKay’s Road Trip.
McKay’s is a used bookstore and record store that buys and sells used books, movies, games, music and more. It was founded in 1974 in North Carolina.
On Tuesday, July 9, all McKay’s locations are handing out McKay’s Passports. For all locations one visits, they will receive a unique stamp on their passport and a prize.
McKay’s is giving a grand prize of $800 in McKay’s credit for those who visit all five stores.
The Road Trip is only taking place between 8 a.m. and midnight, local time.
Here is the list of prizes for stores visited:
- McKay’s Passport
- McKay’s t-shirt
- $50 of McKay’s Trade, a travel mug and snack pack
- $250 of McKay’s Trade and a commemorative poster
- $500 of McKay’s Trade
Even if you do not visit all the stores on Tuesday, you can still complete the Road Trip.
McKay’s said they will continue to stamp Passports until the end of the year. Those who collect all five stamps by December 31, 2024, will receive a prize pack. That pack will consist of a McKay’s t-shirt and $50 of McKay’s trade credit.
McKay’s locations are in Chattanooga, Knoxville and Nashville, Tennessee, and Winston-Salem and Mebane, North Carolina.
