Motorcyclist killed on Suck Creek Road

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (WDEF) — A motorcyclist died in the early morning hours of August 4, 2024 on Suck Creek Road.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to a pedestrian struck call at approximately 4:37 a.m.

A female motorist made the call from 2032 Suck Creek Road, reporting she was traveling south on Suck Creek Road when she saw the downed motorcycle in her lane.

When she swerved to miss the motorcycle, she struck the motorcyclist, who was lying in the road.

EMS arrived on scene and declared the motorcyclist deceased.

At this time, it’s unknown whether or not the motorcyclist was dead or alive before being hit by the motorist.

HCSO reports that the preliminary investigation revealed at an unknown time, the motorcyclist wrecked and come to rest in the road before being struck.

An investigation is underway by HCSO’s Traffic unit to determine the cause of the crash.

The name of the motorcyclist will not be released at this time, and no more details are available.
