HCSO announces launch of new mobile app and crime data dashboard
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) announced the launching of their new mobile app and an online crime data dashboard.
The new app is free to download through the Apple or Android Store.
To find it, search “Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee” in those app stores.
App features include real-time alerts, important information, press release access, and links to services helping make HCSO more public assessable.
The app also allows citizens to submit an anonymous tip, search for active warrants, deposit funds for inmates, and request an incident report.
HCSO’s new online crime data dashboard is also free to use and is updated every 24 hours.
This dashboard provides information on law enforcement calls, specifically based off of incident reports.
General incident statistics with visual charts and graphs display historical and current crime trends are on the dashboard as well.
The data available can be selected and range from specific months to years.
Citizens can also narrow down their searches through the dashboard.
A map is available to locate specific streets and zip codes.
After searching, users will see hot spots on the map, and can zoom in to see the crimes by type.
