South Lee Highway crash kills one cyclist
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — A cyclist was killed after being struck by a truck on South Lee Highway.
Cleveland police responded to a crash with injuries call at 4:07 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a deceased female on the side of the road.
The Crime Scene Unit along with the Cleveland Police Department’s Crash Response Team also responded to the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the female was riding a bicycle in the parking lot of the Budget Inn.
She exited the parking lot, and then was struck by a Dodge Ram traveling south.
The driver of the Dodge was unharmed.
The crash is still under investigation.
