Ooltewah structure fire injures one and claims life of a dog
OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) — One person received minor injuries and a family dog died during a structure fire in Ooltewah Saturday afternoon.
The Tri-County Volunteer Fire Department said they were alerted of a possible structure fire around 1:30 p.m.
Crews were dispatched to 6314 Ooltewah-Georgetown Road where they located a fire involving an RV, outbuilding, and ATV behind a residence.
Personnel worked to contain the fire, and because of the outside temperatures, Tri-County’s rehab unit responded to provide fluids to firefighters.
Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene to aid the individual with burn injuries.
Unfortunately, the family lost a dog in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
