CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — If you’re in need of a pick-me-up anytime throughout the day, get ready for a great awakening in Georgia.
The Great Awakening Coffee Company provides locally roasted coffee and treats in Summerville and Lafayette.
Dane and Vanesesa Maddux had the idea back in 2018 for a coffee shop in the area.
They opened up business selling coffee across the country, operating out of a truck, then ultimately getting a brick and mortar business.
Three years ago the business flooded and they had to reboot.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the shop as they ended up taking over two locations in North Georgia: The Great Awakening Coffee Co. in Summerville and Downtown Dough & Co. in Lafayette.
In addition to quality coffee, they offer delicious sweet treats like donuts and ice cream. You can also snag a hearty breakfast croissant!
