Dalton fire crews respond to early morning duplex fire

DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) —  Fire crews responded to a duplex fire in Dalton early this morning.

According to Dalton Fire Fighters, crews were dispatched to 1106 Orman Street, January 20, 2025 at 1:45 a.m.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire in the back of the structure.

Crews began a swift fire attack, and were able to get the fire under control.

According to the Dalton Fire Department (DFD), the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and attic sustained fire damage, with the estimated loss being $100,000.

DFD spoke to the residents and made sure everyone made it out of the structure safely.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
