Soddy Daisy Police engaged in a foot pursuit with a burglary suspect

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF)– On Saturday, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies were alerted that Soddy Daisy Police Department personnel were engaged in a foot pursuit with a burglary suspect near Soddy Lake.

Deputies responded to the area near Durham Street after receiving reports that the suspect had entered the lake in an attempt to evade capture.

Upon arrival, deputies located the suspect as he attempted to exit the water through a muddy section near the shore and safely took him into custody.

The suspect, later identified as Arthur Wright, has a history of fleeing from law enforcement and has been involved in multiple pursuits across Tennessee.

This includes a recent pursuit with HCSO personnel on February 2, 2025.

Wright is currently wanted by multiple agencies and faces additional charges related to the February 2nd incident.
