New Students Lead to New Church Renovations
How the Central Church for Christ is Preparing for new UTC Students this Fall
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.– One of Chattanooga’s oldest churches has just gotten a fresh coat of paint.
Located only five minutes away from UTC campus, the Central Church of Christ is modernizing for a new generation of congregation members.
As one of the oldest churches in Chattanooga at 117 years old, the church is preparing itself for the largest influx of students in UTC history. They have built a small cafe, revamped the entire sanctuary, repainted the entire building, and have incorporated more technology– including creating a podcasting space for students.
Their goal is not only to make the space more accessible, but to make it a location that students and congregation members alike want to be after service hours.
