Multiple police departments worked to apprehend a fugitive

MCMINN COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Sheriff Tommy Jones posted that in the late evening hours of March 14, law enforcement officers located and arrested Charles Ballard III.

Sheriff Tommy Jones states that officers from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, McMinn County Sheriff’s Office, and Sweetwater Police Department worked together to locate and arrest Charles Ballard III on County Road 340 in McMinn County.

Sheriff Jones says Ballard was then transported to the Monroe County Justice Center for booking on multiple warrants, as previously posted.

He expresses his gratitude to the McMinn County Sheriff’s Office, Sweetwater Police Department, and Roane County Sheriff’s Office for their assistace in Ballard’s capture, emphasizing the great teamwork involved.

The Sheriff also extends a huge thank you to Monroe County Buzz for featuring wanted fugitives, noting that their efforts have led to valuable tips and numerous successful apprehensions.

Sheriff Jones states that he greatly appreciates everyone who has submitted tips or helped by sharing wanted posts.
