Chattanooga police officer arrested for domestic assault, placed on leave
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Chattanooga police officer has been arrested and charged with domestic assault.
Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a domestic assault call around 1:50 a.m. on March 24, 2025, at a residence near the 3900 block of Weathervane Loop.
The altercation reportedly began as a verbal argument before Officer JaMaael Noble allegedly struck the victim and smashed their phone.
According to CPD, Noble reportedly left the scene in his city-issued vehicle after the incident.
HCSO investigators later found him in a business parking lot on East Brainerd Road, where he was arrested.
Noble was booked into the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center on a domestic assault charge.
After he was arrested, CPD confiscated his city-issued gear and patrol vehicle.
CPD confirmed that Noble will be placed on administrative leave once released from custody.
CPD has also launched an internal investigation into Noble.
Authorities have not released additional details as the investigation remains ongoing.
