Young advocate recalls his personal encounter with Charlie Kirk
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Tonight, another vigil was held in Chattanooga to honor the life of Charlie Kirk.
The gathering was organized by young conservative Nick Bitzer, who said his goal was to celebrate Kirk’s life and the legacy he leaves behind.
As Bitzer spoke, he reflected on a personal encounter with Kirk that left a lasting impression.
“I got to meet and speak with Charlie Kirk briefly, and only momentarily,” Bitzer said. “I asked him what I should do in my situation, and he said to keep fighting the good fight for what is true and what is right.”
Bitzer added that Kirk made the effort to stay in touch even after that first meeting.
“After we met, he took my contact information down and periodically he would catch up with me,” he said. “He would ask how I was doing, how my movement was going, and just working in politics, he would encourage me and guide me.”
Bitzer said he prays Kirk’s message is not forgotten.
“I just hope that the voices of unity and truth ring louder than ever,” he said.
