TVFCU 29th Annual Golf Classic
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) – It was a picture-perfect afternoon (9/30/25) for TVFCU’s 29th annual Golf Classic. Golfers, including our own Chip Chapman, came together at Council Fire to knock some balls around, but behind all the fun in the sun, there is a very worthy cause. All proceeds raised benefit STARS and Junior Achievement. It’s all about creating positive school climates while getting young people ready for a bright future.
Tammy Zumbrun is the Director of Marketing and Community Development at TVFCU.
She explains, “Students taking right stand against drugs, alcohol violence. They have bullying initiative in the school, which is so important right now. They also have a peer mentoring group, or session that teaches you how to resolve conflicts yourselves amongst your peers, and that’s just so important. And then part of the proceeds to go to the Junior Achievement of Chattanooga, Ocoee, and Northwest Georgia because we are all about financial education with students, and we’re also about just helping students get a good start because they’re going to end up being members, we hope, or even employees.”
Chip came very close to winning his putting contest, but he couldn’t quite get it in the hole.
