One dead after fatal multi-vehicle crash

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to a two-vehicle crash that resulted in one fatality.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, CPD officers responded to the 5400 block of Hwy 153 for a multi-vehicle crash.
The Chattanooga Police Department’s Traffic/DUI Unit is conducting the investigation.
Law enforcement says a 36-year-old male motorcyclist, riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling south on Hwy 153 when the 22-year-old female driver of a Lexus RX3 turned left in front of the motorcycle from Hwy153 north.
The vehicles collided, throwing the motorcyclist.
The rider was taken to the hospital by Hamilton County EMS where he later died.
