Officer-Involved Shooting Leaves One Dead
POLK COUNTY, Tenn. — A man is deceased after an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Polk County.
The investigation shows that Polk County Sheriff’s Office along with the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the area of Spring Creek Road in response to a man having suspected mental health issues, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
A Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper fired his service weapon at the man who was identified as Alan Brock.
Brock then shot himself, according to the TBI.
EMS responded to treat the man’s injuries, but Brock subsequently died.
No officers were injured during this incident.
The TBI is investigating the shooting incident.
