THP traffic stop leads to a drug bust

Marion County, TN (WDEF) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol seizes more than two pounds of meth after stopping a BMW with illegally tinted windows.

It happened Wednesday on I-24 in Marion County.

The driver gave the trooper permission to search the car, and a fellow officer discovered the drugs hidden in the dashboard, underneath the steering column.

The car was traveling from Miami to Louisville, Kentucky.

The suspects’ names are being withheld due to an ongoing investigation.
