SmartWay helps drivers track road conditions
CHATTANOOGAG, Tenn. (WDEF) – News 12 spoke with Regional Communications Officer Rae Anne Bradley, who says crews have been working tirelessly to keep roads clear across the Tennessee area.
Bradley says one of the best ways for drivers to stay informed is by visiting SMARTWAY.TN.GOV.
SmartWay provides a live, interactive map that allows drivers to view road conditions before heading out.
According to Bradley, this tool helps drivers stay aware of changing conditions on the road.
“If there is debris in the roadway, an incident, or a weather-related closure or traffic impact, all of that will be listed there. Drivers can see where they are, what their route is, and plan accordingly based on what is happening on the roadways.”
Drivers can also access the same features by downloading the TriStar Traffic app on their phone or mobile device.
The app offers live updates and real time traffic information, helping drivers make safer decisions before and during their travels.
Updates are also available right here on News 12 as crews continue to monitor road conditions throughout the area.
