Birth Control Pill bill passes the Tennessee House
NASHVILLE (WDEF) – A measure on birth control pills has cleared the house and now goes to the Tennessee Senate.
Rep. Esther Helton-Haynes sponsored the amendment in the House.
It would allow Tennesseans to get a 12-month supply of the contraceptives.
This would only apply to pills that are legally marketed under the FDC Act.
And it requires insurance companies to allow their consumers to purchase a 12-month supply at one time.
