9-year-old Dies After Falling from Overlook

A 9-year-old has died from his injuries after falling from Bee Rock in Putnam County.

911 responded around 2:30 p.m. on February 12 after receiving a call that an individual had fallen from the overlook, according to the Monterey Police Department.

Monterey Police officers and Putnam County EMS personnel responded to where the individual was.

There they found a 9-year-old boy and began life saving measures, but sadly they were unsuccessful.

After some time the boy was brought back to the top of Bee Rock and was transported by EMS to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
