Scottsboro arrests for guns and drugs

SCOTTSBORO, Alabama (WDEF) – A Police call in northeast Alabama ended with the arrest of two residents.

Officers from the Scottsboro Police Department were called to the home Wednesday night.

They say while they were at the door, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the home.

They found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain view.

They then got written permission to search the rest of the home.

They say they found various drugs, and a rifle with a defaced serial number in one of the bedrooms.

They have charged 19 year old Porter Eli Mitchem with possession of drug paraphernalia and the gun.

They charged 66 year old Elton Eric Mitchum for a variety of drugs, marijuana, hydrocodone, and concentrated THC Wax.
