CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — An apartment suffered damage following a grease fire on March 24, 2026.

According to the Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD), Red Shift companies responded to 7604 Standifer Gap Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke showing from the patio door of a first-floor unit.

They say fire crews conducted both primary and secondary searches of the involved unit and adjacent apartments.

All occupants from neighboring units were evacuated as a precaution.

The fire was brought under control and fully extinguished.

CFD says the fire originated from a grease fire while cooking, which subsequently ignited and spread.

Crews performed ventilation and cleared smoke from affected and adjacent units, then monitored conditions to ensure no further fire extension.

No injuries were reported.
