Bill debate could force overhaul of Chattanooga Airport
Tennessee lawmakers are discussing changes that would affect the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.
A Senate Transportation Committee is debating a bill that would give the legislature the power to appoint most members of airport boards.
They’ve done this already for the Nashville airport.
But the new bill would expand the changes to the other airports across the state.
And that would force our local airport to completely rebuild the airport.
The point of the bill is to give state lawmakers more say in how local airports work.
