Code orange air quality advisory
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Wildfire smoke is causing elevated levels of fine particles in the air across our region, which has put our area under a code orange air quality advisory, according to the Hamilton County Health Department.
They say this poses increased health risks for sensitive groups such as children, older adults, and anyone with heart or lung conditions.
They ask individuals to limit their time outside today, keep their doors/windows closed, and use air filtration to reduce their exposure.
They also encourage residents to monitor local updates and take appropriate precautions until the air quality improves.
