House under renovations catches fire in Birchwood

A house that was under renovations caught fire on the 9700 block of Birchwood Pike on April 1, 2026.

Just before 6 p.m., a neighbor called 911 reporting a residential fire, according to the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security.

They say one team of firefighters entered the home, reported fire in the kitchen and extinguished the fire, while another team conducted a search for any victims throughout the house.

The search team confirmed to fire command no one was in the house.

No injuries were reported but HCEMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to firefighters.

They say the cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

Highway 58 VFD fire officials confirmed the house was under renovations and no one was living in the home.

Highway 58 VFD fire officials also reported the fire started in the kitchen and sustained heavy fire/smoke damage to the entire home.
