CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The Chattanooga Lookouts are officially in their new home at Erlanger Park.

A sellout crowd got to watch the Lookouts open up a new era against the Montgomery Biscuits.

This opening game is 638 days after ground was broken on this new ballpark.

Fans we spoke with like Johnny Sullivan say they were very impressed with what the new stadium had to offer.

Sullivan said, “Historically when I was growing up this was nothing but waste land of manufacturing in Dustin and it was crazy here when I was a kid keeps seeing this area. I was a young guy. Did it look like this? It’s pretty impressive. We’ve been watching it from a car. We worked downtown and it slowly wants to get built and it’s really neat.”

This is the first opening day at a new park since AT&T Field opened back in 2000.
