ArtsBuild launches “Culture Works” program
ArtsBuild has announced the launch of Culture Works, a certification program recognizing local businesses that support and invest in the Chattanooga arts ecosystem, ArtsBuild says.
The announcement took place at Verre Noir, where owners Becca Coleman and Erin Leonard were honored as the program’s first official participants.
ArtsBuild says this is in partnership with the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, River City Company, and the City of Chattanooga’s OƯice of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy.
“The arts are a cornerstone of Chattanooga’s economy, but that success depends on a vibrant partnership between our arts sector and our business leaders. Culture Works provides a framework for businesses of all sizes to engage with the arts in meaningful ways, from hosting local exhibits to sponsoring community performances.”
– James McKissic, President of ArtsBuild says.
They say the program aims to strengthen the “arts-supportive” brand of the city.
