American Legion Post 214 hosts Friends and Family Day

ROSSVILLE, GA. (WDEF) – The American Legion Post 214 hosted its annual Friends and Family Day this afternoon, bringing the community together to honor veterans and celebrate service.

Organizers say the yearly event is designed not only to recognize those who have served in the military, but also to give back to the community.

Members say supporting veterans and their families remains at the heart of the organization’s mission.

Jason Radar, with the Sons of The American Legion, said the group is grateful for the sacrifices made by veterans.

“We just like to try and give back to the veterans in the community and are thankful for the veterans that have served us and have sacrificed so much for this country,” Radar said.

Each American Legion post hosts its own Friends and Family Day, creating opportunities for fellowship, appreciation, and community outreach.

Organizers say they look forward to welcoming everyone back again next year for another day of service and celebration.
