Lost hiker found at Little Cedar Mountain Hiking trail after search

A lost hiker has been found following a search at Little Cedar Mountain Hiking Trail on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, according to the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department.
Upon arrival, search and rescue was initiated for the hiker.
After searching for 1 1/2 hours, additional aide was called in.
Jasper Fire, and Marion County Rescue was toned to the scene.
They say Billy Farrow, a courteous citizen, took two of our firemen on his boat to search also.
Shortly thereafter, the hiker was found in good health and transferred by boat to Marion County Park.
