Early voting ends in Hamilton County
HAMILTON COUNTY – Early Voting ended in Hamilton County on April 30, 2026 with nearly 5% of registered voters casting an early ballot or returning their absentee ballot ahead of the May 5th County Primary election.
9,185 voters cast an early ballot at one of six early vote sites across Hamilton County. Another 1,091 voters returned their absentee ballot. This resulted in a 4.76% voter turnout, according to the Hamilton County Election Commission.
“With approximately a 5% turnout during early voting, more than 200,000 eligible voters in Hamilton County still have the opportunity to cast their ballots on Election Day. Our poll workers will be prepared to assist voters across the county on May 5. We encourage all eligible voters to plan ahead and make time to vote.”

They share voters who requested an absentee ballot, but have not returned them are reminded those need to be received by the Election Commission no later than when the polls close at 8:00 p.m. on
Election Day.
Ballots received after that date won’t be counted.
They also share ballots need to be mailed, as the Election Commission or any poll worker at a precinct cannot accept a hand deliver ballot.
