Driver rescued from vehicle following Dunlap crash
DUNLAP, Tenn. — A driver was rescued after being trapped in a vehicle following a two-car crash on Highway 28 at John Burch Road.
According to the Dunlap Fire Department, vehicle 1 was in the grass off Highway 28 with the driver still in the vehicle.
The driver had only minor injures but could not exit the vehicle which had been hit in the drivers door.
Firefighters stabilized the vehicle, removed the drivers door glass and used a Hurst spreader to open the door and the driver was able to walk away.
They say vehicle #2 had left the scene but was later located by law enforcement.
Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and Sequatchie County Deputies and Dunlap Police assisted.
