Man arrested following terminated vehicle pursuit

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A man has been arrested following a terminated vehicle pursuit that occurred on May 12, 2026.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), the morning of May 14, 2026, HCSO Criminal Warrants detectives served an arrest warrant for a man who was involved in a vehicle pursuit and attempted to ram a deputy’s patrol vehicle on the morning of May 12, 2026.

They say the pursuit began at the 8200 block of Hixson Pike and continued to Daisy Dallas Road and Hale Road, where deputies terminated the pursuit.

During the investigation, deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Cody Buckner.

Buckner has arrest warrants through the Hamilton County Sessions Court for the following:

• Assault on First Responder
• Evading Arrest
• Reckless Driving
• Fabricating Evidence
• Driving on a Revoked, Suspended, or Canceled License

Buckner faces additional traffic violations.
