OCOEE, Tenn. (WDEF) – A vehicle was recovered from Parksville Lake Tuesday morning after it rolled down an embankment near Mac Point in Polk County.

Around 8 a.m., Bradley County Fire Rescue’s Special Operations Dive Team responded to assist with the recovery after a car went approximately 50 feet down an embankment from a pull off area. Officials said the vehicle came to rest about 100 feet from the shoreline in roughly 10 feet of water.

Several agencies responded to the scene, including Bradley County Fire Rescue’s dive team, West Polk Fire Rescue’s boat crew, and Tri-State Mutual Aid Chiefs Jeff Stewart and Dewey Woody, who assisted with coordinating the operation.

Fortunately, no one was inside the vehicle when crews arrived. Officials said the vehicle’s owners have been accounted for and are safe.

Emergency crews successfully recovered the vehicle and praised the coordinated effort between all responding agencies.
