Rhea County High School vs. Walker Valley High School

Cleveland, TN (WDEF) – Plenty to play for Friday night at the Corral in Walker Valley.

The Mustangs needed to beat Rhea County to keep their playoff hopes alive.

While the Golden Eagles were looking for a victory to wrap up a home date in the playoffs, and the joint was jumpin’ for this region match-up.

First half, Walker Valley is already up 7-0.

Kolten Gibson wants to pass.

I said he wants to, but he doesn’t get to as Gibson goes down and fumbles.

Tyler Brown recovers for Rhea County.

The Golden Eagles would cash in.

They hand off to Mason Stephenson who goes in to score to tie the game at seven.

Moments later, the Eagles call on Stephenson again.

And again he scores another touchdown.

Stephenson is running our camera coverage.

He’s quick.

The Golden Eagles then find success through the air.

Daniel Dotson lobs a high pass to Noel Patterson who will run it all the way down to make it 19-10.

On the ensuing kickoff.

Ominous phrase in the annals of sports highlights.

Ball goes to Bryce Nunnley.

He finds his way through a load of traffic.

He gets clear, and then out-runs the coverage.

Nunnley takes it to the house.

Plenty of fireworks from the Corral with Rhea County winning 47-32.
