Chattanooga will print more food vouchers to cope with shortage
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Mayor Andy Berke announced on Tuesday that the city will address a food voucher shortage by just printing more.
The city has gotten several complaints from people seeking food assistance that they couldn’t get the vouchers.
The mayor says they seem to have trouble with people in two different zip codes.
The mayor announced the solution at the Chattanooga Food Bank Tuesday morning.
He says they will print out 250 more vouchers.
Needy people can use them to pick up items at the Food Bank.
