Amy-O-Meter blog: Early voting in Hamilton County

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Okay, so I’m using the Amy-O-Meter blog to go all “After School Special” on you…

Don’t forget to vote in this year’s presidential primary and various local elections! I stopped by the Hamilton County Election Commission on Amnicola Highway in Chattanooga Tuesday afternoon and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. You can’t beat that!

I’ve become a huge fan of early voting, because honestly when you work in news, you can never guarantee having time to run by your local precinct on election day. Plus, I’m never really sure which little, out of the way church I’ll have to find that day.

That’s why I love using the Hamilton County Election Commission. The staff is always incredibly helpful and accommodating to me, and the hours this year are the best at the election commission. You can early vote there between 8am and 7pm Monday through Friday. That means you can stop by on your way into work… Or your way home. How can you beat that?

Plus, casting your ballot is a definite Amy-O-Meter 10! Happy voting everyone!
