Decatur man faces charges in shooting of wife, her son

DECATUR, Ala. (AP) – A Decatur man is in custody, accused of shooting his wife and stepson.

Decatur Police say Marvin Wilson was arrested Saturday on charges of domestic violence first-degree assault and domestic violence second-degree assault. He’s being held in the Morgan County Jail on $90,000 bond.

Al.com reports police responded to the report of a shooting and officers found Latiska Wilson and her son, Norris Jones Jr., both suffering from a single gunshot wound. Each was taken to area hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately available.

Police say evidence indicates that Marvin Wilson allegedly shot his wife and her son during an argument.
