Home in Big Ridge damaged in fire

HIXSON, Tenn. (WDEF)- A house on Red Fox Lane in Hixson caught on fire tonight.

Chattanooga firefighters say that they could see the black smoke as they left the fire station.

The fire department says that there was a large fire coming out of the garage when they arrived on scene.

There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation.

Red Cross will be assisting two adults and their two pets.

Crews remain on the scene at this Big Ridge home. They found heavy fire coming from the garage on arrival, launched a successful defensive attack. Firefighters are doing a thorough overhaul.
